Mitchell Thorp Foundation(MTF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, commemorating Mitchell’s shortened life of 18 years and his five-year heroic struggle against an undiagnosed illness.

Mitchell’s strength and courage, along with the community’s support, collectively inspired the family to establish the MTF that provides financial benefits and emotional support to families burdened with childhood disease or disorders. 

In addition, the MTF provides scholarships and awards to promising young athletes, like Mitchell, acknowledging their accomplishments in youth baseball as a player and role model.

Along with accepting donations, MTF will hold several fund raising events throughout the year to raise funds, kicking off the year with the Annual Mitchell Thorp Walkathon.
